Meet Melissa

New Possibilities begin here.

Are you feeling stuck? Do you worry that you could be getting more from your life? Does peace or happiness feel out of your reach?

Life can do that to all of us and it’s perfectly normal to feel off track. I’m Melissa Miller, and I’m here to give you the guidance, encouragement, and insight you need to feel more in line with your goals, values and hopes for yourself.

I love helping people on their journey towards wellness and personal goals. It’s an honor to walk with my clients through their steps of growth. I know how scary and difficult it can be to reach out for help, and I make sure that you are welcomed into a safe and kind space where you can open up, be vulnerable, and talk about anything. The magic of therapy happens when there is a strong relationship between the client and therapist - when it clicks - and if I’m not the right fit for you, I will do my best to find you a great therapist who is a better fit. I’ve been practicing for 15 years now, and I clearly picked the right profession for me as I am just as passionate about my work now as the year I started.

I have a few areas of specialty.  For starters, anxiety. I help people understand and learn to manage anxiety, something most people struggle with in today's world. I also specialize in treating eating disorders, from Anorexia to Binge Eating Disorder. In general, I have a passion for helping people who struggle with their relationship with food and their body. Many of my clients don’t have a diagnosable eating disorder, but they struggle to find an easy relationship with food and they don’t feel good in their skin. I believe full recovery is possible, and I also believe it is possible to make peace with food and not hate your body.  I have seen this so many times in my practice, I wish everyone knew it was possible.

Many of my clients are struggling to bring balance into their lives and their relationships.  Finding a sense of purpose and meaning is crucial to living well, and it’s easy to get stuck in patterns that keep us from moving forward. I hope I can be of help to you.

A little about myself: I am a mom to a daughter in 7th grade and a son in 6th grade. Life is crazy! I tend to work with a lot of moms...because I get it. My husband and I have been in Charlotte for 15 years and are proud to call it home. I’m an introverted extrovert. I love being with friends but I need equal parts down time to stay grounded. I enjoy traveling, reading, yoga, and our dogs Polly & Millie.  I watch a lot of comedy, and my creative outlet is making fancy charcuterie boards and baking.

Please reach out to me if you’d like to schedule a consult. I look forward to getting to know you.
